A 12-episode reality series following former King Of Queens star and ex-Scientologist Leah Remini has been ordered by TLC, with production starting Wednesday.
According to Deadline, the show will focus on Remini's life and family while living in Los Angeles. The series comes from Gurney Productions, who also produces Duck Dynasty.
The reality show would follow Remini's family, like her husband, Angelo, who runs the family diner, and Remini's 9-year-old daughter Sofia. Her stepfather, mother, sister and her husband are also said to be appearing in the reality show.
TLC general manager Nancy Daniels said in a statement, reports USA Today, "Leah is a no-nonsense, hard-working, relatable mom, wife, daughter and sister. Her sharp humor and unfiltered family are a perfect match for the network."
Remini has been in the news the last few months after her high-profile separation from the Scientology, with reps claiming, she was close to be expelled anyway before she left.
Remini has said part of the reason she left was because her daughter was approaching the age where she would have to be brought into the fold of Scientology.
