The MusiCares MAP Fund, celebrating its tenth anniversary, allows access to addiction recovery treatment and sober living resources for members of the music community. For their decade anniversary benefit show, MusiCares will honor Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne.
According to Loudwire, Osbourne is set to play at the benefit show with his touring band and guitar legend Slash. Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike will also be on hand performing in tribute to the late DJ AM.
“I know firsthand about the ravages of addiction and I also know that the MusiCares MAP Fund is a vital safety net for people in the music industry who need help with substance abuse,” says Osbourne. “This organization literally saves lives.”
With more performing artists yet to be announced, Blabbermouth.net noted the concert comes with a hefty price for the average person. This special dinner and concert offers living room sets that seat 10 for $12,500, individual floor seats for $1,250 per person, and VIP balcony seats for $100 per person.
Ozzy Osbourne recently reunited with Black Sabbath and recorded their first album together, with Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi, in nearly 35 years. Their album 13 released to critical acclaim, earning them their first number 1 album and a Grammy for Best Metal Performance for their song “God Is Dead?” according to Billboard.
