On Monday, the Paralympian vomited when a pathologist gave the court illustrative testimony of the autopsy in the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
The Associated Press reported that on this day, live broadcasting and tweeting of the testimony would be banned due to its graphic nature. The judge agreed with the lawyers and decided the testimony should not be shown around the world out of respect for the deceased and her family.
"It's not a question of press freedom," said prosecutor Gerrie Nel.
Professor Saayman had noted that the autopsy results were of a “very personal nature.”
Pistorius wept as Saayman described where the four gunshots wounds entered Steenkamp’s body.
The athlete is accused of murdering the model on Valentine’s Day 2013. Pistorius maintains that he fatally shot her after he mistook her for an intruder.
