Pharrell Williams is pretty content with remaining on top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with his song, "Happy." The single is spending a fourth week in the No. 1 position.
The song which was featured in Despicable Me 2 also reached a milestone when it came to radio play. The song claimed the top honors for an eighth week in a row on the radio airplay charts, Billboard reported.
The single also leads the digital charts for a fifth week. Even though the single saw a drop in downloads with 364,000 sold, it was enough to keep the song at the top of the charts.
"Happy" soared after Williams performed the song during this year's Academy Awards. "Happy" was nominated for best original song at the Oscars. Following that performance the single was downloaded 490,000 times.
It did slip into the second spot on the streaming charts, dropping from its lofty position on top.
The only other single that featured Williams to have this type of success was last summers breakout single "Blurred Lines."
Rolling Stone reported that Williams will also be making an appearance on Saturday Night Live.
