President Obama to appear on 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' via live feed from White House to promote healthcare

President Obama will make his first appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show as president on Thursday, and his second appearance in total.

The commander-in-chief will appear on the show in an effort to get even more people to sign up for healthcare in his Affordable Care Act.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the president will be appearing on the show from the White House, so he won’t be in studio with the funny woman.

“This is the president's first appearance on the show since he has been elected to office," Melissa Little Padgitt announced in a press release. "President Obama will talk to Ellen about Obamacare in an effort to encourage people without health insurance to sign up for coverage.

This is just Obama’s latest attempt to spread the message of signing up for healthcare before the deadline of March 31. He also made an effort to reach a younger audience on Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns.

As we previously reported, his appearance on the Funny Or Die series came out last week.
