Rep. John Lewis dances to Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' for International Day of Happiness (Video)

Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” phenomenon is contagious. Rep. John Lewis is the latest to recreate the song.

One of the members of the Georgia Democrat’s staff posted the video on International Happiness Day, which was Thursday, featuring him dancing along to the Oscar-winning song.

“Wishing everyone a wonderful International Day of Happiness,” read the post.

The tune is infectious, as the 74-year-old politician shows, even declaring at one point in the video, “This is my song. Nothing can bring me down.” He admits he doesn’t know all the words and if he “had a drink” he would really go for it.

As we reported earlier this week, Lewis isn’t the only one making headlines in regards to the song.

A children’s choir in Detroit at Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences sang the song for an America’s Got Talent audition, and the YouTube video went viral.
