Singer claims to be Michael Jackson’s long-lost son, will reveal DNA results today

By Daniel S Levine,

A singer who claims he is a long-lost son of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson will reveal DNA test results today that he is sure will back up his story.

The 31-year-old is Brandon Howard, whose mother is Miki Howard. According to TMZ, Miki Howard was represented by Jackson’s father Joe Jackson during the 1980s. Howard claims that his mother met the “Beat It” singer in 1982 and he was born months later.

Howard performs under the name of “B Howard” and lives in Miami. TMZ reports that he took part in an Akon song, so he does have some connections in the music industry.

TMZ’s sources claim that Howard got some of Jackson’s DNA from an orthodontic device, although it’s not known how he acquired it. Still, after he reveals the DNA test results, he wants to go to the Jackson estate for money.

“We've never even heard from him,” estate lawyer Howard Weitzman told TMZ. “Any deadline for claiming to be Michael's child has long since passed.”

Howard is represented by Scott Broomfield of Musical Star LLC, who released a statement to The Daily Mail, contradicting parts of TMZ’s report. In the statement, he claims that he didn’t “authorize” his DNA to be compared to Jackson’s and didn’t give TMZ the OK to run a story.

“This spring, I agreed to be a part of a documentary with FilmOn.TV and was asked to give a sample of my DNA. Even though I agreed to this I never expected it to be used in this manner,” the statement reads. “To this day, I have never claimed to be Michael Jackson's son nor do I have any intention of pursuing the family's estate.”

The results of the DNA test will be revealed on FilmOn.TV at noon Pacific time.
