Singer-songwriter phenomenon Taylor Swift and her long-time publicist Paula Erickson are ending their partnership after seven years of working together.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Erickson notified Swift's representatives that she was resigning in the middle of March. Erickson Public Relations is operated out of Nashville, Tenn., and has been managing Swift's publicity since 2007.
Swift now seeks to have all her public relations dealings remain internal within her management company. Swift and Erickson started working together when Swift's first album was about to hit a million sales. During Swift's time with Erickson, she has appeared as a host on Saturday Night Live, has performed at the Grammys, the MTV Video Music Awards and numerous country music award shows.
According to Billboard, Swift's newest album is scheduled to come out later this year. Now that Swift has split from Erickson, she will have her choice of publicists to work with. Billboard reported that one public relations official stated, "Taylor will have her pick of top-shelf publicists, but the challenge is finding that person you know and trust."
