The wife of country star Trace Adkins filed for divorce on Monday. Rhoda and Adkins had been married for 16 years.
Rhoda filed for divorce in Tennessee, reports E! News. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce and asked for primary custody of their three daughters; MacKenzie, Brianna, and Trinity.
Adkins has had a difficult 2014 already. In January, the singer checked into rehab in his battle against alcohol addiction. That came after he got in a brawl with an impersonator on a cruise ship, reports Us Weekly. His father died in February and he then returned to rehab to finish the program.
Adkins has not used his Twitter account since before the incident when he wrote, “Up here in my suite, overlooking the pools. Behave yourselves.”
Adkins’ rep has not issued a statement since Rhoda filed for divorce.
The singer has several No. 1 Country singles on his resume, including “Ladies Love Country Boys” and “You’re Gonna Miss This.” He also won a season of Celebrity Apprentice.
