Trailer for Drew Barrymore’s ‘Animal’ debuts

By Andrew Wilson,

When something is chasing you in the forest in the dead of night, you run. You run as fast as you can. Executive producer Drew Barrymore, having unfortunately met an opening scene demise in Scream, as well as making not want to anger any little girls after seeing her in Firestarter, knows a thing or two about the horror movie genre. The trailer for Animal shows just that.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Animal is scheduled for release on a small theatrical run, and more prominently on Video On Demand.

THR, who had the exclusive 53 second trailer, stated the film follows a group of close-knit friends who find themselves stranded in unfamiliar territory, pursued by a blood-thirsty, unknown predator. The movie stars Keke Palmer, rapper Eve, Amaury Nolasco and Thorsten Kaye.

The Examiner noted Palmer recently starred in the VH1 biography made-for-TV movie, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story and in the Lifetime Production of The Trip to Bountiful opposite Cicely Tyson.

Start working out on those treadmills now, and watch out for fallen branches, unlike Eve in the trailer. Though no specific date is set, Animal is scheduled for release later this year on Flower Films.
