TV Ratings: 'Resurrection' premieres strong, 'Cosmos' decent in debut

New midseason drama Resurrection got off to a strong start for ABC, while Fox's Cosmos debuted to decent numbers for Sunday night.

For the evening ABC won with a 2.2 in the key 18-49 demographic and 7.66 million viewers. Once Upon a Time was up in the show's return with a 2.3 in the demo, reports HitFix. In its debut, Resurrection started off strong with a 3.6 in the key demo and 13.31 million viewers. Revenge also was up for the night with a 1.9 demo rating.

Fox came in second with a 1.7 in the demo and 4.095 million viewers. Bob's Burgers slipped to a 0.9 and two episodes of The Simpson averaged a 1.2 and 1.6 in the demo. Early returns for Cosmos have the show averaging a 2.1 in the demo and 5.8 million viewers.

With 9.5 million viewers and a 1.6 in the 18-49 demo, CBS was third, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Starting things off was 60 Minutes with a 1.5 demo rating. The Amazing Race had a good night with a 1.8 in the demo, while The Good Wife slipped slightly to a 1.3 in the demo. The Mentalist was also down, pulling in a 1.6 demo rating.

NBC offered mostly encores for the night, averaging only 4.75 million viewers and a 1.1 in the demo. Only new show Dateline averaged a 1.3 in the demo.
