New Australian pop/rock band, 5 Seconds of Summer, made a strong debut on the Billboard charts, but it was't enough to hold off the Frozen soundtrack.
This is the soundtrack's ninth week at No. 1 on the charts and this week alone Frozen sold 149,000 copies. The soundtrack is only one week away from tying The Lion King record of having the longest run at No. 1 on the charts for an animated film soundtrack, Billboard added.
Frozen has now sold 1.9 million copies in total.
Five Seconds of Summer sold 143,000 copies, with downloads totaling over 75 percent of its first-week sales with their EP She Looks So Perfect.
MTV added that the band also had an impressive debut on the charts in the U.K. and Australia.
Five Seconds of Summer had a strong introduction into the pop community when they opened for One Direction. The band opened for many legs of their tour including the Europe, U.S. and Canada tour run from One Direction.
