Rapper Big Sean and Glee star Naya Rivera have confirmed they’ve ended their short-lived engagement, but new reports are giving insight as to what might’ve gone wrong.
The couple announced their engagement in October 2013 and have split only six months later.
Big Sean’s rep released a statement on his behalf on Wednesday, denying rumors that the “Control” rapper cheated on his fiancée.
Now, TMZ reports it was Rivera’s alleged controlling ways that ended their relationship. Sources say they tried couple’s counseling to see if they could salvage their relationship but ultimately, Big Sean couldn’t deal with her jealousy and fits of anger.
Rivera would reportedly keep track of his every move, according to the source, and threaten him with statements like “If you don't listen to what I say, I'll ruin your career."
“The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter,” Big Sean’s rep told Us Weekly.
