Comedy icon Don Rickles will be honored with his own tribute special set to air next month on SpikeTV, and a lot of famous faces are planning to stop by.
The special, titled One Night Only: An All-Star Comedy Tribute to Don Rickles, will feature appearances by David Letterman, Robert De Niro, Jon Stewart, Jerry Seinfeld, Jimmy Kimmel Tracy Morgan, Martin Scorsese and other big names, according to the New York Post.
“We’re thrilled that David Letterman, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Robert De Niro and so many more will be coming out to entertain and celebrate our hero – Don Rickles,” said executive vice president of Event Production & Talent Development of Viacom Entertainment Group Casey Patterson in a statement published by The Wrap.
Patterson continued, “The genius of Rickles is the danger, nobody is safe, and what you can expect is a night of comedy from these superstars worthy of a legend. It will truly be One Night Only.”
The special will tape at the Apollo Theater in Harlem on May 6, and will air on May at 9 p.m. on Spike.
