Female passenger allegedly groped by man aboard British Airways flight

A female passenger was allegedly groped by a man while she slept on a British Airways flight from London to San Francisco.

According to the New York Daily News, the female passenger filed a criminal complaint Tuesday stating that Vinay Pochampally sexually molested her while she slept on the airplane on April 15.

The Daily Mail noted that the complaint alleges that Pochampally placed his hand down the unidentified woman’s shirt and made "skin-to-skin contact."

Court documents state that the alleged molestation was witnessed by other passengers.

The flight attendants confronted the man and moved him to another seat. When the plane touched down in San Francisco, police arrested him.

If convicted, he faces up to six months in prison.

This is not the first time this type of perverted behavior has happened on a commercial airliner. Just last month, a similar incident occurred on a United Airlines flight from Houston to New Jersey. The man aboard that flight was inappropriately touching and allegedly started kissing a passenger who had been sleeping.
