Fleetwood Mac sees sales surge following reunion announcement

Fleetwood Mac has seen a large surge in music sales following the announcement that the group has reunited.

The band announced their new tour and coming together on NBC's Today show. After the announcement, the band went on a press tour and helped to get them back in the musical spotlight.

Album sales for Fleetwood Mac have increased by 33 percent in the week ending March 30, Billboard reported.

Their total album catalog improved sales of 8,000 copies to 10,000 for the week. The band's greatest hit album, which was released back in 1998, re-entered the Billboard top 200.

One of the band's most well-known singles, "Landslide," also saw an increase in digital downloads. The song was downloaded 4,000 times this week alone. Fleetwood Mac saw a 52 percent increase in digital downloads after their announcement, which rose from 20,000 to 30,000.

The band also put out a statement to announce that they would be lowering their ticket prices for their Target Center stop in Minneapolis.
