'Frozen' soundtrack set to have another record week thanks to Easter holiday

By Chelsea Lewis ,

It would seem that nothing can stop the soundtrack to Frozen from staying No. 1 on the charts. The music to the family animated feature is set to have another record setting week of sales, thanks in part to the Easter holiday.

Billboard reported that industry analysts are already predicting the soundtrack will sell 225,000 to 250,000 copies in the week that ends this Sunday.

If these numbers hold true, this will break the record that was set for the soundtrack when the feature film was released on DVD and Blu-ray. During that week, Frozen sold 202,000 copies.

This would be the 11th week at No. 1 for the soundtrack, which features Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell.

The album, which was released in November, has already sold over 2 million copies to date.

After the success of the film, Disney announced that they would be going into production of a Broadway adaptation, TribLive reported. There will also soon be a Karaoke Series version of the soundtrack for people to sing along with just the instrumental portion of the songs.
