Jared Leto is busy promoting his documentary, Artifact, which is about his band, 30 Seconds to Mars.
Leto has had a great 2013, winning an Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club. The actor, best known for roles in Requiem for a Dream and Lord of War, became interested again in his acting career after his success with Dallas Buyers Club.
His efforts have shifted a bit though, back towards his band and the future with the film Artifact. Leto directed the documentary under the name Bartholomew Cubbins.
"You know I got into this crazy business because I was interested in being a filmmaker and director," Leto told the Associated Press. "I was in ... art school studying to be a painter. And then I switched my major to filmmaking and dropped out to pursue acting because I thought it would help me get a job as a director."
Leto has directed a number of the band’s music videos, and no matter what the next move is, Leto will be celebrating the success of 30 Seconds to Mars. Their latest album, Love, Lust, Faith & Dreams jumped to No. 25 on the Billboard charts after the Oscars.
Artifact will air on Vh1 and Palladia on Saturday, according to Just Jared.
