Nirvana is going to be inducted into the rock 'n' roll hall of fame this year and it is rumored that Joan Jett might be fronting the band at the induction ceremony.
Jett is best known for her 1981 hit “I Love Rock N Roll,” which is considered a classic today by rock 'n' roll standards.
The speculation started when Dave Grohl posted an image on Instagram that showed a photo that featured Krist Novoselic’s bass, Pat Smear’s Strat, Grohl’s drumkit and what might be Jett’s Melody Maker, Billboard reported.

Another rumor that has been circulating the industry includes R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe performing for Nirvana. He will be on hand to induct the band during the ceremony.
Also being honored this year at the rock 'n' roll hall of fame include; KISS, Linda Ronstadt and Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates and Cat Stevens. The E Street Band is entering into the hall 15 years after front man Bruce Springsteen was placed into the hall of fame, USA Today added.
