Judge Judith Sheindlin, known for her years on television, will be the subject of a new special, Judge Judy Primetime on CBS.
The special will also look at Sheindlin’s career from the time that she was a New York Family Court judge before she became a figure on mainstream television. Her no-nonsense approach to law has kept viewers tuning in for years. Today, she is one of the most widely known judges on TV. Judge Judy is the top-rated series in first run syndication, according to the LA Times.
The special will be one-hour long. “Judyisms” will be highlighted during the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sheindlin has always been quick to offer a thoughtful response and a smart one-liner.
Judge Judy Primetime will also offer video footage from a 60 Minutes episode with the popular judge. Judge Judy made its debut in 1996.
Judge Judy Primetime is produced by CBS Television Distribution and Queen Bee Productions. The special is set to air on Tuesday, May 20 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
