Kings of Leon fans got a little more than they bargained for after attending the band's Seattle concert. In a statement by The Washington Health department, it was revealed a woman in attendance at the show last week had the measles virus.
The report, which was issued by the health department, explained that most people in the state of Washington have been vaccinated for the measles, so the public risk is low, Billboard reported. "People who haven’t been vaccinated or aren’t sure if they’re immune should ask a health care professional for advice," the report detailed.
The report also explained that the disease is highly contagious, according to The Guardian. The health department went into detail, saying, "If you're not vaccinated, you can get the measles just by walking into a room where someone with the disease has been in the past couple of hours."
The Guardian also reported that the band is currently on tour in Canada and has not yet responded to the news.
