Michelle Obama to appear on ABC’s ‘Nashville’

First Lady Michelle Obama will be making an appearance on the ABC television show Nashville on May 7.

According to USA Today, Michelle Obama will be playing herself alongside stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere.

E! News reported that ABC made the announcement Friday, April 18.

The first lady will not be the only guest star on Nashville. ABC also stated that country starlet Kellie Pickler will be joining the first lady.

In the episode, Rayna, Connie Britton’s character, will be gathering some friends to join her to visit Fort Campbell where she will be organizing a charity concert after learning that Luke has been injured in Afghanistan.

The episode is said to contain some riveting storylines to lead up to the second season's finale on May 14.

The episode, “All or Nothing with Me,” will also feature Deacon and Maddie figuring out a new course in regard to their future, while Will and Layla begin their reality series. In addition, Juliette, who is played by Panetierre, struggles with keeping the truth from Avery.

Nashville airs on ABC at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays. The first lady will guest star on the May 7 episode.
