Actor Zac Efron is opening up about his struggle with addition and the lessons learned as he is continuing forward.
Efron was the star of High School Musical and will next be seen in the raunchy comedy Neighbors. The popular actor is beginning to discuss his difficulties with drugs and alcohol and what he calls a “never-ending struggle.” During a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Efron spoke about about how he joined AA and got himself on a life path that he prefers.
Efron also said that he is also seeing a therapist, according to the Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old said that he attended rehab twice last year and spent time confronting the issues that made him uncomfortable in his own skin. Things are more under control now in his life.
He spoke about some of his challenges including his struggles involving dating.
The currently single star told THR of "the struggles of dating, of falling in love, of searching for love and being there for your friends when they need you." He added, "There's no question that to receive anything great, like love or respect, or to better yourself, you have to give a piece of yourself away."
