The festival will feature many over the top elements along with the six stages that will host a variety of musical talent. Already in the works is a flying DJ stage, a huge Ferris wheel, and streets that are themed for each country participating in the festival, Billboard reported.
Rock In Rio CEO Luis Justo, described the event as an actual theme park. "It’s like an amusement park with a lot of different attractions, More than the talent itself, the experience that the crowd has at Rock In Rio is really different," he said.
The founder of the festival, Brazilian entrepreneur Roberto Medina, started the festival back in 1985. Since the first year, the festival has been one of the largest of its kind in the world.
The Associated Press added that MGM Resorts is already working on the festival they will be building a 33-acre open-air music venue for the festival.
