Chelsea Handler has been the face of late night television on E! for eight years but is now leaving at the end of the year.
Irving Azoff, Handler's manager, told The Hollywood Reporter, "Chelsea intends to leave when her contract expires. She hired me to figure out her life after E! We have at least seven suitors and many ideas," according to ABC News.
Handler is the only female late night talk show host. Her show, entitled Chelsea Lately, is reportedly making around $9 million a year with more than 570,000 viewers a night. Her viewership in 2010 was at 839,000, but, unfortunately, has dropped over the years.
Time has reported that she referred to the E! channel on the Howard Stern Show as “a sad, sad place to live.”
“They don’t know what they’re doing. They have no ideas. It’s a failure,” Handler said.
Handler is considering having her own radio program as well as a nightly or weekly late-night show on a different network, said her manager.
