Selena Gomez officially signed with new management Friday after parting ways with her parents, who she previously employed as her managers.
According to TMZ, Gomez left her parents’ management, saying that she needed more experienced people handling her.
She chose to work with WME and Brillstein as her new management, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Her new management team will include individuals like Aleen Keshishian, Zack Morganroth and Scott Wexler.
Reportedly the switch in her management was a crucial step in Gomez’s transition into more adult-oriented works in both film and music.
After Gomez’s Disney start in Wizards of Waverly Place, she then starred in the drama Spring Breakers with other starlets like Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson.
Gomez has recently finished filming Behaving Badly, which is a comedy also featuring Nat Wolff and Mary-Louise Parker. She also has screen credits in the films Hotel Transylvania and Monte Carlo.
