Tom Hanks might be teaming up again with director Steven Spielberg for an upcoming cold war thriller feature film. If Spielberg signs on to direct the upcoming project it would mark the fourth time that Hanks has worked with him.
Hanks is attached to star in the project, which will focus on the Cold War era and is being written by Matt Charman and produced by Marc Platt, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
The untitled project will tell the true story of James Donovan. Donovan was an attorney who was in the center of the war and had to negotiate the release of pilot Gray Powers.
The project went into pre-production last year and is set to start production next year.
Variety added that Spielberg is attached to work on many projects in the upcoming year. Some of those projects include; Robopocalypse and a historical drama titled Montezuma.
Hanks is currently filming A Hologram for the King.
