Actor and producer Harrison Ford has had a long career in film, spanning six decades. Ford made his film debut in an uncredited role as a Bellhop in Dead Head on a Merry-Go-Round in 1966.
Ford is known for his iconic roles as Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise, and as the adventurer Indiana Jones. He has had his fair share of box-office bombs, but made his name in successful films including The Fugitive, Apocalypse Now, Air Force One and What Lies Beneath.
In his career, Ford has been nominated for four Golden Globes, an Academy Award, and a BAFTA. He is also the first ever to win the Hero Award at the 2007 Scream Awards, for his roles including Han Solo and Indiana Jones. He received the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2002 Golden Globe Awards, and in 2003, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Ford is one of the highest grossing stars in the U.S. box-office. He was recently confirmed to be a part of the cast of J. J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII.
