On May 19, Hip-Hop mogul 50 Cent’s son, Marquis Jackson, graduated from high school. No stranger to controversy, the Hip-Hop superstar did not attend his son’s graduation, and not because he didn't want to. According to TMZ, 50 Cent claims he wasn't invited. Despite being in the public eye, the worldwide rap icon does not want some of his personal life to be out for the public to see.
“I don’t need an explanation. My personal life, there’s portions of it that are supposed to actually be personal. And your actual life as an entertainer is a whole ‘nother portion of your life,” said 50 Cent on the show 106 and Park, reported by MTV.
Shaniqua Tompkins, mother of Marquis, has had a history of not getting along with 50 Cent. The musician often criticizes Tompkins for being the reason there is a rift between him and his son, and their feuds have often been in the public eye.
Last summer, however, Jackson and his father had a very angry conversation via text message. The text messages were leaked, and since that point in time, the relationship between the two has not been great at all, according to Mada Menoire.
Usually 50 Cent's problems are between his fellow peers in Hip-Hop, battling for who is the best. Having a better relationship with his son seems to be a battle 50 Cent doesn't want to participate in at the moment.
