By Chelsea Lewis ,

Fox's American Idol will be back for a 14th season of the vocal competition. The network made the announcement yesterday.

Idol will be arriving in 15 cities later this year to find the best musical talent. They will be holding auditions in Portland, Oregon; Columbus, Ohio; Kansas City, Missouri; Richmond, Virginia; and Albuquerque, New Mexico ,The Hollywood Reporter added.

The show has experienced some ratings lows with the past few seasons and season 12 was highly criticized for the judges' conflicts, which took center stage instead of the musical talent.

TV Guide added that it remains to be seen who will be the judges for this upcoming season of the show. Current judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. have not announced if they would be returning.

Lopez is set to star in a NBC drama which will go into production in 2015, so it is not clear if she could handle both on her schedule.

Deadline added that longtime host Ryan Seacrest is still in talks regarding his possible return.
