Andre Holland, who is known for his work in 42, was cast in the upcoming Martin Luther King drama Selma.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, who first reported the casting, Holland will be playing Andrew Young, who is a well known politician and activist during the Civil Rights Movement in 1965.
The lead role of the film will be played by David Oyelowo, who will star as Martin Luther King Jr. Camern Ejogo will be playing Coretta Scott King and Tom Wilkinson will play President Lyndon B. Johnson in the feature film.
Selma will be directed by Ava DuVernay, who is known for Middle of Nowhere. The movie will focus on the attempts of African American marchers to walk from Selma to Montgomery.
Selma will also feature some big names in the movie industry as producers including; Oprah Winfrey and her Harpo banner, Plan B's Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner. Pitt and Kleiner won an Oscar for their work on best picture winner, 12 Years a Slave.
Deadline first reported that the film had been acquired by Paramount back in February and originally aimed to have Lee Daniels direct.
