Barbara Walters appears on 'Saturday Night Live' and jokes about 'Baba Wawa' (Video)

Legendary broadcast journalist Barbara Walters made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live. For years, SNL made fun of Walters by calling her "Baba Wawa" and Walters appeared on the show on May 10 to join in on the fun.

Radar Online reports how Walters made a cameo appearance on SNL during the Weekend Update segment and said that the voice that SNL used to spoof her with is actually how she talks in real life.

Walters is set to retire this coming Friday on May 16, when she last airs as a co-host on The View. Last month, it was announced that in addition to Walters' current group of co-hosts on The View, which includes Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy, previous co-hosts on The View will also appear on May 15 to say goodbye to Walters.

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel last November, Walters discussed her upcoming retirement. Walters told Kimmel, "I want to leave while people say, 'We will miss her.' I don't want them to say, 'Is she still on?' I sort of think that May is a good time."
