Damon Albarn released his new solo album, Everyday Robots, this week.

Albarn recently performed at the Rivoli Ballroom and played songs from the solo album, according to The Telegraph. With Everyday Robots, Albarn gives fans the chance to get to know him. The British singer and multi-instrumentalist is accustomed to working with a group, so he decided to create the 12-track solo album with collaborator Richard Russell.

Albarn has been the driving force behind the bands, Blur and Gorillaz, according to the Associated Press. He began his career as a recording artist in the early 1990s, and he said that his good 10-until-5:30 routine is one of the reasons for his longevity. Alban owns a studio in London and has been recognized for his work with Blur and Gorillaz.

In 2011, Blur was nominated for Best Long Form Music Video for the song “No Distance Left to Run.” Gorillaz won a Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for “Feel Good Inc.” with De La Soul.
