Engaged couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are finally ready to make a movie together again, nine years after their last appearance on the big screen together. Jolie has reportedly written a script that the two international superstars want to turn into a film together.
Jolie is in early talks to star in the project, which she wrote and Pitt is already interested as well, according to Deadline. The project is at such an early stage that plot details are still unknown, although the script is an original idea from Jolie.
Insiders for The Hollywood Reporter suggested that it may be a relationship drama that Jolie wrote several years ago. That focused on a married couple who take a vacation, hoping to save their fractured relationship.
There is no director or producer attached yet. Jolie could chose to direct it herself, as she’s already helmed In The Land of Blood and Honey and is finishing up Unbroken at the moment.
Jolie and Pitt haven’t made a movie together since Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005. They had decided that they didn’t want to work on a movie at the same time so that one of them could be home with their children.
Jolie has an Oscar for Girl, Interrupted and won the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. She will next be seen in Disney’s Maleficent. Pitt has several acting nominations, but has only won as a producer on 12 Years A Slave. He just completed a World War II tank drama for director David Ayer.
