Brothers David and Jason Benham are currently in talks with networks about getting another television series after being dropped by HGTV.
The Hollywood Reporter reports how the Benham brothers, who are of Christian faith, were dropped by HGTV after making anti-gay remarks. While appearing on The O'Reilly Factor, the Benham brothers said that there were a few networks looking to work with them.
To help secure a deal with another network, the Benhams have been working with Faith Driven Consumer. Chris Stone founder of Faith Driven Consumer notes, "We are brokering a possible deal between them and their show and an alternative network to HGTV."
HGTV canceled the Benham's show Flip It Forward this past week after anti-gay marriage statements were outwardly made. HGTV publicized the decision on their Facebook page stating, "HGTV has decided not to move forward with the Benham Brothers' series.”
After HGTV, canceled their show, the Benham brothers were 'saddened' and declared that they don't dislike gay people. On May 8, it was reported that the Benham brothers issued a statement expressing how they don't have hatred towards anyone and this is due to them being raised as Christians. The Benhams explain, "The first and last thought on our minds as we begin and end each day is; have we shined Christ’s light today? Our faith is the fundamental calling in our lives, and the centerpiece of who we are. As Christians we are called to love our fellow man. Anyone who suggests that we hate homosexuals or people of other faiths is either misinformed or lying."
