Carole King is set to do a free performance in central Idaho

By Ricky Yandoli,

One of the most famous singer/songwriters of all time, Carole King, has agreed to do a charity performance on June 28. It is for a US soldier Sgt. Bowe Bergdahal who is believed to have been captive by the Taliban since the year 2009.

This is the second year the Bring Bowe Back event will take place. Individuals who are helping organize the event believe there will be up to 7,000 people in attendance, reported by The Idaho Mountain Express.

The Grammy Award winning musician is known for classic songs such as 'You’ve Got A Friend' and 'I Feel the Earth Move.' She may pull out those records from her legendary arsenal. King does not disappoint when it comes to live performances.

Members of the Haqqani network, a network that operates in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region, are holding Bowe hostage. Also, it is believed that this region is one of the deadliest threats to the U.S. troops, according to Associated Press.
