Singer Tim McGraw and actress Emilia Clarke are celebrating their birthdays today, May 1.
Tim McGraw, 47
Singer, songwriter and actor Tim McGraw turns 47 today. Many of his albums and singles have topped the country charts. He is the eighth best-selling artist and third best-selling country singer in the U.S. He has had 11 consecutive albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
In his career, McGraw has won three Grammys, 14 Academy of Country Music awards, 11 Country Music Association awards, 10 American Music Awards and three People's Choice Awards.
McGraw transitioned to some acting, appearing in films including The Blind Side, Friday Night Lights, The Kingdom and Four Christmases. He had leading roles in Flicka and Country Song.
McGraw is currently married to country singer Faith Hill.
Emilia Clarke, 27
Actress Emilia Clarke turns 27 today. Clarke's early work includes theater performances at St. Edwards and Drama Centre London. Her first television role was in an episode of the 2009 soap opera Doctors. She then appeared in the SyFy film Triassic Attack.
In 2010, she was cast as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series Game of Thrones, based on the book series by George R. R. Martin. She won the 2011 EWwy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her role.
From March to April 2013, Clarke played Holly Golightly in the Broadway production of Breakfast at Tiffany's. In December 2013, Clarke was cast as Sarah Connor in 2015's Terminator: Genesis.
