Singer Enrique Iglesias and actor Stephen Amell are celebrating their birthdays today.
Enrique Iglesias, 39
Spanish singer-songwriter, actor, and record producer Enrique Iglesias turns 39 today. Iglesias became one of Latin America's biggest stars in the mid 1990's. In 1999, he transitioned into the English music market. He was asked by Will Smith to contribute to the soundtrack for Wild Wild West. "Bailamos" was released as a single and went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Iglesias released his first English speaking album, Enrique in 1999 under Interscope records. In 2000, Iglesias performed at Super Bowl XXXIV alongside Christina Aguilera, Phil Collins, and Toni Braxton. In 2001, Iglesias released his second English album, Escape, and it became his best selling album to date. Iglesias went on to release Quizás (2002), 7 (2003), Insomniac (2007) and Euphoria (2010).
Iglesias released his tenth studio album, Sex and Love, in March 2014. The Spanish and English fused album features artists including Pitbull, Romeo Santos, Flo Rida, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez and India Martínez.
Iglesias has also transitioned to acting, having roles in Once Upon a Time in Mexico, How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men.
In 2001, Iglesias started dating tennis player Anna Kournikova, and despite rumors of a split, the two were seen together early this year.
