Coldplay dedicates 'Fix You' to good friend Mick Jagger following L'Wren Scott's death

Coldplay performed in New York City at the Beacon Theatre on Monday night and dedicated their song “Fix You” to Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.

Chris Martin, who’s going through a difficult time in the wake of his separation with his wife, told the crowd, "It's for Mick Jagger," before starting into the song.

Jagger’s longtime girlfriend, fashion designer L’Wren Scott, took her own life back in March. The rocker’s rep said at the time that he was "completely shocked and devastated by the news."

Last week a memorial was held for Scott in New York. Jagger, his kids and celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Ellen Barkin were in attendance.

Fox News reports Coldplay performed songs from their newest album Ghost Stories. When it was time to perform “True Love,” Martin asked the concert-goers not to video it in any way.

He called it "the best song off our new album that no one has ever heard yet."
