Undoubtedly one of the most sought after composers in the business today is Michael Giacchino, the Academy-award winning composer who has established himself through his work with J.J. Abrams and Pixar, for which he won his Oscar for Up. Well, it appears that he will keep his relationship with Pixar strong, as he has just signed on to score their latest, Inside Out.
First Showing gathered the scoop on the news, which sees Giacchino re-teaming with his Up co-director Pete Docter.
This will be the fifth time that Giacchino has worked on a Pixar production, as he has also previously scored The Incredibles, Ratatouille and Cars 2.
The composer has certainly expanded of late, as he is currently working on or has worked on the scores for films like this year's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Jupiter Ascending, This is Where I Leave You and the upcoming Jurassic World and Brad Bird's Tomorrowland, he appears to still have at least a little bit of room in his schedule for his pals at Pixar.
The film is centered on 11-year-old Riley's emotions - Joy (voiced by Amy Poehler), Fear (voiced by Bill Hader), Anger (voiced by Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) - as she makes the move with her family from the Midwest to San Francisco.
Inside Out will hit theaters on June 19, 2015.
