David Goyer joins James Cameron for 'Fantastic Voyage'

David Goyer is joining James Cameron's upcoming Fantasy Voyage. Goyer will be writing the treatment for the 1996 sci-fi remake which is currently in production over at Fox and Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment.

Cameron will serve as executive producer, and will work alongside with other producers Jon Landau, Rae Sanchini and Goyer.

Voyage tells the story of a team of scientists who have to shrink down to microscopic size in order to enter the body of a co-worker to save their life. Not much news has been heard about Voyage since 2011, and has featured a few writers coming and going off of the future film including Shane Salerno, Cormac and Marianne Wibberly.

Cinema Blend reported that Cameron is currently working on the upcoming films in the Avatar series and Goyer is working on Superman vs. Batman.

The Hollywood Reporter added that Goyer is known for his work on the Dark Knight trilogy and Man of Steel.

Goyer is also currently attached to direct The Breach for Lionsgate.
