Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers says that the remarks made by owner Donald Sterling have been a distraction for the players on the team.

During an ESPN interview on Sunday, Rivers described how Sterling's remarks have caused the Clipper players to become distracted and even angry.

"In our first meeting after the tapes came out and we had a meeting before practice, and when I walked in that room and looked at [the players'] faces, it was bothering them," Rivers said. "They were angry."

Sterling received a lifetime ban from the NBA along with a fine for $2.5 million last Tuesday from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver handed down Sterling's lifetime ban. Silver announced that he has the full support of the NBA owners to remove Sterling from the NBA.

"The hateful opinions are those of Mr. Sterling," Silver said last week. "The views expressed by Mr. Sterling are deeply offensive and harmful."

Many NBA players have expressed their support in favor of Silver and agree with his decision to ban Sterling for life. According to Hollywood Life, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and others took to social media to commend Silver for his decision.
