Four bodies were found in the home of former tennis player James Blake after a massive fire broke out at his Tampa, Florida mansion.
According to the Guardian, firefighters were called to the home around 6:00 a.m. Wednesday when neighbors reported that they heard a loud explosion. Authorities later uncovered the bodies of the deceased inside the home owned by Blake.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies said that they spoke with the former tennis pro, who was in Connecticut at the time of the fire. He told officials that he had been renting out the property to the tenants for about a year.
Investigators have not yet released the identities of the victims or the cause of the fire. However, there have been reports that they found fireworks inside the residence.
The New York Daily News reported that the mansion Blake was leasing has been home to several former and current sports stars, including the Yankess' Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera.
The 34-year-old started playing tennis professionally in 1999 and unofficially retired from the sport last year.
