In Jennifer Esposito’s new memoir Jennifer's Way: My Journey With Celiac Disease—What Doctors Don't Tell You and How You Can Learn to Live Again, she writes an entire chapter on her ex, although she never mentions his name. This leads to speculation that she’s trashing her ex-husband, Bradley Cooper.
Esposito, who’s previously been engaged to tennis player Mark Philippoussis and currently engaged to model Louis Dowler, was married to the American Hustle star from December 2006 to May 2007.
In the book, never mentioning a name, she calls her ex a “master manipulator.” She wrote she agreed to go out with him despite “an entire marching band squad of red flags.”
Daily News reports she described him as “funny, smart, cocky, arrogant and a master manipulator,” but she didn’t “necessarily find him that attractive.”
The book is mostly about her battle with celiac disease, which she said she “sidelined” during this relationship she writes about because he made it all about him. She said it ended “Abruptly, rudely, and with the exact callousness that I’d come to expect from him.”
For his part, Cooper has stayed mum about his failed marriage over the years. He told Howard Stern in 2011, “It was just something that happened. The good thing is, we both realized it...Sometimes you just realize it."
