Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting fame are actively trying to conceive their 20th child after suffering a tragic miscarriage in 2011. The couple paid a visit to a fertility doctor to see if a doctor will give them the green light to have another baby.

The couple traveled to Arkansas to see Dr. Paul Wendel, who specializes in high-risk pregnancies and they documented it for their reality show.

In a new clip, Michelle, 47, says, "We are just going to check and see that I'm physically in good condition. We would love more children if God saw fit to give us more -- I just want to make sure that I'm ready to catch a baby if that would happen."

Us Weekly reports the last time she gave birth was in 2010 when she had a difficult pregnancy, suffering from preeclampsia. It’s been three years since her miscarriage and that’s the longest about of time she hasn’t been pregnant in 27 years.

Dr. Wendel told the couple it’s “very unusual” to see women her age get pregnant.
