E! Online reports after getting drafted by the Cleveland Browns, Manziel hit up Avenue in New York City to celebrate his success. Rapper Drake was also in attendance to show his support for Manziel. Drake posted a picture on Instagram of him and Manziel with the caption, "To say we made it...ain't saying enough."
Other celebrities who helped Manziel celebrate were Meek Mill, Busta Rhymes, Birdman, Future, Plaxico Burress, Kyrie Irving and Victor Cruz.
Last month, Drake released a song called "Draft Day" and on it he gave Manziel a shout out.
Yahoo Sports reports how during an interview last year on ESPN's First Take, Drake discussed his friendship with Manziel and shared his opinion about the scrutiny that Manziel has faced since being in the public eye. Drake says, "First of all, Johnny is like one of the best guys. He’s got a pure heart."
