While director James Wan has been involved with the Insidious franchise for its first two installments, it appears that he is going to be passing the torch for the series' third go-around.
As Slash Film notes, Wan will not be returning to the series, but instead will allow Leigh Whannell, who wrote Saw and Dead Silence for the filmmaker in the past, to make his directorial debut with the sequel.
Wan announced the change-up on his Twitter.
