Lionsgate U.K. boards Michael Fassbender's 'Trespass Against Us'

Lionsgate U.K. has picked up the U.K. rights to Michael Fassbender's Trespass Against Us.

This film, which stars, Michael Fassbender, Brendan Gleeson, Lyndsey Marshal, Rory Kinnear, Sean Harris and Killian Scott, will mark the directorial debut of Adam Smith, The Hollywood Reporter added.

This movie has been described as being heavy on action and crime, all while infusing a sense of comedy to the audience. Trespass Against Us will be taking place in a hidden world that is in a corner of England's green farm land. The film will focus on three generations of the Cutler family who are very rowdy. The family lives as outlaws and experiences a variety of ups and downs with this unique lifestyle.

Trespass Against Us is set to start filming in the summer, Deadline reported.

The movie is currently being written by Alastair Siddons, who is also a producer on the film. Along with Sibbons, Gail Egan and Andrew Calderwood of Potboiler Productions will also be producing the film.

The movie is developed and co-financed by Film4 with backing from the BFI and Lipsync.
