On Friday at St Bartholomew's Church in Manhattan, New York, a memorial service was held for longtime girlfriend of rock 'n' roll star Mick Jagger, L'Wren Scott. Scott died in March after taking her own life.

Scott and Jagger had been dating since 2001 and Scott was known for her high end fashion designs that have been worn by Nicole Kidman, Tina Fey, Sarah Jessica Parker and even First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Many attended the event including members of the Rolling Stones and actresses Ellen Barkin and Sarah Jessica Parker. Jagger sang "Just Like a Woman" by Bob Dylan during the service in honor of his lost love, BBC reported. Barkin and Parker spoke at the service along with Scott's close family members.

Also in attendance at the service was film directors Martin Scorsese and Baz Luhrmann.

Jagger's grandchildren also attended the service. They read Psalm 23, while Lisa Fischer, who is a back up singer for the Rolling Stones, performed a rendition of "Amazing Grace," The New York Daily News added.
