People reports how Berkus and Brent got married at the New York Public Library on May 3. The couple got engaged last year and are the first same sex couple to have their wedding at the New York Public Library. Their marriage was officiated by Sheri Salata, who is the president of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network & Harpo Studios. Berkus was dressed in a J.Crew suit and Brent wore a Saint Laurent suit. The wedding was attended by 220 guests, including famous celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Rachael Ray, Katie Lee, Rebecca Minkoff, Irene Neuwirth, Busy Philipps and Elizabeth Hendrickson.
E! Online reveals how during a March interview, Brent described how his and Berkus' wedding would have a "sexy" feel to it. Brent stated, "It's going to be a really sexy wedding ceremony, like really masculine but sexy feel."
Also, while appearing on the E! show The Fabulist, Brent shared how Berkus proposed to him. Brent said that they were in Peru and that they were at the top of Machu Picchu and walked into a valley temple site and Berkus popped the question.
